Bristol

With 35% of working age residents qualified to at least degree level in 2008, the highest proportion amongst the Core Cities, Bristol has a strong skills base and is well positioned to capitalise on the continued growth of the knowledge economy.

Bristol also has a strong and growing reputation for sustainability. Strengths in creative industries, ICT, aerospace and advanced engineering within the city are reflected across the wider City Region: nine out of the 12 largest aerospace companies in the UK are located in the region.
