One of the six designated Science Cities, the city of Nottingham and its two universities have strengths across a wide range of science and technology sectors including biomedical sciences, ICT, environmental technologies and advanced engineering.
Greater Nottingham’s creative industries include around 1,600 companies, employing about 15,000 people. Around 20% of jobs in the wider City Region are based in science related sectors.
