Council Leaders

Councillor Julie Dore was elected as Leader of Sheffield City Council in 2011.   Sheffield is the fourth largest city in England. 

Currently Leader of Nottingham City Council, Jon has been a Councillor of St. Ann's, an inner city ward, in Nottingham since 1987.  During this time he has served as Chair, Community Development Committee, 7 years as Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Education and Work (1999-2003).

Councillor Joe Anderson became Leader of Liverpool City Council in May 2010, having been elected Leader of the Labour Group in 2002 and has been a Councillor for Riverside (previously Abercromby) since 1998. He was on the Capital of Culture Board and has been a Governor of St Vincent de Paul Primary School for twelve years.

Councillor Keith Wakefield was first elected to Leeds City Council in 1988. He is the Leader of Leeds City Council and has been the Leader of the Labour Group for seven years.  Keith represents the Kippax and Methley Ward, covering many of the former mining villages in the East of Leeds.
