City Summits - Sept To Nov 2005
Following David Miliband's announcement at the Core Cities Summit in July, a series of 'mini' summits were held in each of the Core Cities during the autumn.
The aim of the summits was to provide an opportunity for central and local government, together with local partners, including businesses and local people, to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing Core City city-regions. The Minister asked to discuss how to build strong economies and strong communities, which are sustainable, healthy and culturally vibrant.
