Nottingham
Nottingham is establishing itself as an international city, with strong links to Ningbo (China), Chandigarh (India), and Karlsruhe (Germany). Its two internationally renowned universities deliver world class research, with strengths across a wide range of science and technology sectors including biomedical sciences, ICT, environmental technologies and advanced engineering. The University of Nottingham has established campuses in China and Malaysia. Nottingham is home to the Queen’s Medical Centre and BioCity – the largest teaching hospital and largest bioscience incubator in Europe. Around 130 Life Sciences businesses employ almost 2,000 people in the City region, where 327,000 jobs are based within the Science and Technology sector.
