Core Cities UK Leaders and Mayors call for reform of the Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR).
Only by reforming the CSR and making it more 'place-based' will the Government meet its aims of reducing the deficit, reforming public services and solving the 'productivity puzzle'.
The statement comes days after the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Greg Clark told the LGA Conference that the spending review represented an 'unmissable opportunity' to show Government how the nation benefits if things are done differently.
