Core Cities UK has long been supportive of visitor levies, the norm in cities across the world, and we've welcomed progress on this agenda, particularly in Manchester and Edinburgh (which starts its levy in June). Our places are increasingly popular with millions of visitors, thanks not only to their established visitor attractions but also for huge events, everything from Premier League football to Taylor Swift concerts!
Along with colleagues at The Chief Cultural & Leisure Officers Association and Local Government Association we've helped organise a morning virtual seminar on levy on 20th of April between 11.30am and 1pm. A link to register is here.
